The information in this training has been developed from my years of educating and training myself and others in trauma treatment, something about which I am deeply passionate. The materials include several handouts, a post-quiz (for CEUs) and post-survey.
Together we'll cover:
- Overview of trauma theory and psycho-neurobiology of trauma.
- Stages of Trauma Treatment including: a) trauma informed care and psycho-education, b) stabilization, coping, and symptom management, and c) trauma resolution.
- Delineation of a range of theoretical models and hands-on techniques.
- Specific models for co-regulation, dual consciousness, and non-traumatic trauma processing.
- Demonstration and practice exercises related to Parts Work and Narrative techniques of externalizing and letter writing
- Case examples and case consultation
